Founded in the year 1983 with our first retail store, we set the bar for high-quality home goods in the country. Today, more than thirty years later, we have expanded to operating MUNI Home Care, MUNI Traders and Furniture Center; providing unparalleled, authentic and reliable home improvement products for our customers.
Our venture in to the tourism sector was marked by our first diving boat in the year 1987 – titled ‘MUNI Express’. Since, we have further grown to catering the luxury traveler with ‘Princess Haleema’, our one of a kind yacht and serving bespoke luxury experiences in some of the world’s exquisite resorts.
In 2017, the successful opening of Fushifaru Maldives sealed MUNI’s place in the booming Maldivian tourism industry.

From humble beginnings as a local retailer to an enterprise employing hundreds and catering quality products nationwide – Mukhtaar’s invaluable expertise and holistic thinking immensely contributed to sealing MUNI Enterprise’s pioneer status in the country.

After co-founding MUNI, with Mukhtaar Hassan over thirty decades ago, Nizar Hassan is instrumental in MUNI’s growth. Nizar overseas the business operations, working closely with the team to drive growth and promote business performance. He is highly regarded for his ability to develop collaborative partnerships with clients and for his expertise leading successful teams.
